Lost and Stolen - What to do
If you lose your phone or SIM card, or have them stolen, one quick call to Customer Services will prevent anyone using it. Call Customer Services on:
Contract Helpline 08700 700 191
Pay-as-you-talk Helpline: 08700 77 66 55
If you have appropriate insurance, call your Service Provider to make a claim, you are likely to need a crime reference number or lost property number to process your claim. Your provider may be able to provide you with a loan phone.
Tips - On keeping your mobile safe
Be sure to insure your phone. Don't assume it's covered by household insurance. Ask your local Vodafone retailer for details. Make a note of your serial number (IMEI) and keep it in a safe place separate from your phone. (The IMEI is located on a strip normally behind the battery of your phone. On most handsets you can find it by typing *#06# SEND. Also keep a note of your phone number. Find it by pressing *#100# SEND (on some handsets). Always use your phone's security code or pin number to stop anyone else being able to make calls on it. Minimise public use and display.
